Communication With Your Team: Inspired by Family Day

For this video blog, I was inspired by two holidays that are centred around creating good relationships with those closest you.

For relationships to flourish, communication is a key pillar. The same applies to your work relationships where you have to work together, and spend much of your waking life.

Here are three ways you can improve your relationships through communication:

1. Empathy - put yourself in the other person's shoes.
2. Focus and time - set aside uninterrupted time in to develop your relationships 
3. Listening and hearing - what you say might not be what is heard. Having effective communication requires both sides to feel heard and understood
